§ COMPANY PRIVATE · EARLY-STAGE

Rethinking the shape of silicon.

Curvion is an early-stage technology company building the software that lets chip design match what manufacturing actually prints — beyond the right-angle grid.

§ 01 — Who we are

One focused thesis.

Curvion, Inc. is a private, early-stage technology startup incorporated in Delaware and headquartered in San Jose, California. We develop next-generation Electronic Design Automation software for semiconductor physical design.

Our work centers on process-aware, curvilinear layout generation — designing geometry that matches what manufacturing prints, so the design and the silicon finally agree.

§ 02 — Where we focus

Research today, production silicon tomorrow.

We are in an active research and development stage — building the software, growing an intellectual-property portfolio, and validating the approach with partners on the path to commercialization.

01
Software platform
Developing Curva — the software PDK and tooling for process-aware, curvilinear physical design.
R&D
02
Intellectual property
A patent-pending path-based representation, with a growing portfolio around curvilinear generation and manufacturability.
IP
03
Partnerships
Collaborating with foundries, EDA companies, and academic institutions to validate and commercialize.
Collab
§ 03 — Mission
Design should describe what the fab will actually build. Curvion exists to close the gap between the two — so a curve drawn in layout is a curve printed on silicon, and the correction pass in between simply disappears.
§ 04 — Leadership

Led by veterans of design and manufacturing.

PROFILE // CEO01

Byoung-il Choi, Ph.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Founder and CEO. Three decades across semiconductor manufacturing, EDA, and lithography equipment, driving Curvion’s research direction and product vision.
